Over the 28 years in our Barnsley location, we have become one of Yorkshires most successful and reputable photographic studios.
Stan recently won the prestigious Yorkshire Portrait Group Photographer of the year award for 2007 with his images of Family's and Teenagers.
An accomplished photograper; Stan Bulmer continues to push the boundaries of contempary photogoraghy always striving to find the ultimate Image. Whether shooting commercial clients or refining his skills with his artistic studies of light and dark, Stan always produces images to touch your soul; beauty shots that seem to breathe and simply emulate the many facets of modern life, each work a piece of art in its own right.
Born in Barnsley, Stan always seemed to look for ways to hold onto experiences life had to offer. What better way than freezing these times on film and so he begin to study photography. Stan decided to develop his talents and launched into a full time photography career in 1978. Not long after he became Barnsley Football Club' official photographer. 28 Years down the line and he is now one of Yorkshire's most vibrant, refreshing contempoary photographers
His work covers a broad spectrum from portraiture to the very precise beauty images he is always producing. "I want my photos to capture the spirit of life and give customers something special which reflects their personality" Stan notes " A lot of portraits can look stiled and unnaturally posed, but here we like our sittings to be a really fun experience. I look upon the finished product as a piece of art rather than just another photograph".
Our new fully furnished studio is situated in the heart of Barnsley town centre. Thus giving us the advantage of being surrounded by many car parks. Including our very own right at our studio, and oppposite at Barnsley Town Hall.
